While I know all the basics, this first story in the trilogy has me most intrigued. Already nuances have begun to arise, little things I did not know about my characters. The weekend saw me writing for the most part, and I’m reasonably pleased with my progress.
Of course, now that my wonderful critique partners have read the novella and sent along their comments, I’ll need to work on that to get it off to my editor as soon as possible. They had some wonderful insights that I’m going to try and weave into the story. Fingers crossed.
But I don’t know how long I’ll be able to stay away from this new story. It is always disconcerting to leave a story world when it feels so natural to be there, with my characters, seeing life and love and heartache through their eyes.
Sigh…
